New Years in the Nerthlands

Holland is not a country, it’s a region, there is North Holland and South Holland, they are in the Netherlands.  Everyone in the Netherlands speaks Dutch but if you only speak English you’ll have no problems.  We spent most our time in The Hague and Amsterdam.  You’ll find no shortage of things to see and do here but I would recommend getting on one of the hundreds of trains and explore the country.  We ended up staying in Amsterdam for New Year’s Eve.  Wow!  No fireworks restrictions here!!  They said that in Amsterdam alone, over 70 Million is purchased in personal fireworks sales.  Trust me, it looked like a trillion.  Amsterdam is an expensive place so if we were to come back it would not be on the Christmas Holidays, everything is double!  PS.  Cars are not the enemy here, but the bikes can kill you, lol.
