New Years in the Netherlands

North Holland and South Holland are regions in the Netherlands, which is often mistakenly called Holland. While Dutch is the official language, English is widely spoken, so communication isn’t a problem. During our trip, we mainly visited The Hague and Amsterdam, but I recommend taking one of the numerous trains to explore other parts of the country. We were lucky enough to spend New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam, where there were no fireworks restrictions, resulting in over 70 million worth of personal fireworks sales. It was an amazing sight, but Amsterdam is quite pricey, especially during the Christmas holidays. One thing to note is that cars are not the primary concern here, but be careful of bikes as they can be dangerous!
